yes, yes, YES!

Every once in a while you come across a quote that could have come from your own brain. I found this one today:

"I didn't want to work. It was as simple as that. I distrusted work, disliked it. I thought it was a very bad thing that the human race had unfortunately invented for itself."

yep.

in. the. world.

and how do i know that they are the best in the world? because our poets are the best in the world.

yep.

in. the. world.

so, a BIG thank you to all the poets who have braved the submission process and our stringent guidelines.

you guys are nibble. or i should say, you guys ARE nibble.

another thing you probably know, we are in the process of collection poems with the word nibble in them (or some variation: nibbled, nibbles, etc). so if you have written any good, short poems with that particular word, send them to us: nibblepoems@gmail.com

1/2 Marathon

Ran a 1/2 marathon over the weekend. There was more mud than I've ever encountered on a run, certainly in a race. Too fun.

The best part? I won the thing! 1st prize was a free pair of Saucony running shoes. Now I'm all set for the marathon in March. Too cool.

Like the Razing

They used

the same pill
to start
the contractions -

you remember -

but this time
the dosage
is much higher

and you imagine
more than feel
as a terrible fire
burns through you,

laying waste,
like the razing
of a field
of corn
after the last
harvest.

1/2 Marathon Man

4th over all - 1st in my age group
An odd 1/2 marathon because it was 13.7 miles.

A tough 1/2 marathon as it had 4,000 feet of elevation change.

But I'm very happy with my result.

Next up: Turkey Trot 10k!
